Beware Fake E-mails Asking for Your Caltech Username & Password
Many campus users are receiving e-mails claiming to come from Caltech that ask them to provide their usernames and passwords.  Please be aware that this is a form of security attack known as “phishing” designed to fool users into giving their usernames and passwords to unknown persons.  Please do not reply to these e-mails.

IMSS recommends against providing usernames and passwords by e-mail, and IMSS will never ask users for their passwords by e-mail or phone.  If you receive any confusing or worrisome e-mails about any of your Caltech accounts, we strongly recommend you take the cautious approach by contacting the IMSS Help Desk at x3500 or help@caltech.edu or your local system administrator.

 Wireless Network Update 5/2
The IMSS VDN team is keenly concerned about and paying close attention to the reports of trouble using the new wireless system. Please read on to learn what progress we have made and we are doing to address the problems.
