Directory Lookup Service
(Unix Global Address List)
Directory.caltech.edu is the new address lookup service for the Caltech Unix e-mail system. Directory.caltech.edu replaces the former service (ldap-server.its.caltech.edu). This new service, also known as the Unix Global Address List (GAL), makes it easy to find someone's e-mail address within your e-mail client. This service applies to those using Caltech Unix e-mail. If you are using Exchange for your e-mail services, you most likely do not need to use directory.caltech.edu.
To configure your email client software to access the Directory Lookup Service, use the server name directory.caltech.edu and follow the configuration guides below.

https://access.caltech.edu to verify your information. This information is only available to others within the Caltech network; it is not made public to the world.
