Directory Lookup Configuration for Outlook 2003

Outlook 2003

1.  Within Outlook 2003, click the “Tools” menu, then “E-mail Accounts…”.

2.  At the “E-mail Accounts” window, click the “Add a new directory or address book” radio button then click “Next >”.

 
3.  On the “Directory or Address Book Type” screen, choose “Internet Directory Service (LDAP)” and click “Next >”.

 
4.  At the “Directory Service (LDAP) Settings” screen, enter directory.caltech.edu in the “Server Name:” field as shown, then click “More Settings…”.

 
5.  Acknowledge the message about restarting Outlook by clicking “OK”.

 
6.  On the “Microsoft LDAP Directory” window, leave the values shown and click the “Search” tab.

 
7.  In the “Search Base” section, enter the following ou=people,ou=imss,o=caltech,c=us in the “Search base” field then click “OK”.

 
8.  Back at the “Directory Service (LDAP) Settings” screen, click “Next >”.

 
9.  Click “Finish” at the “Congratulations!” screen.
