DIR New Print Server

As part of our ongoing process to upgrade and integrate our enterprise systems, we are planning to migrate all printers from the old DIR print server, GUTENBERG, to the new IMSS print server, PRINT. Below you will find instructions for migrating from GUTENBERG to PRINT, along with a list of retired printers that will not be migrated, and the list of the old printers and their corresponding new names on PRINT. Since the IMSS print server, PRINT, is shared with several other groups on campus, each printer now has the prefix (DIR-) in the printer name for easy identification.

NOTE: The old print server (GUTENBERG) will be turned off on Friday, August 3, 2012, but you can move to the new server now.

Printers List:

Retired Printers - These printers will not be migrated from GUTENBERG to PRINT, since they are no longer used and have been retired from the DIR infrastructure. These printers can be deleted from your computer.

Printer Name Changes - With the printers moving from GUTENBERG to PRINT, IMSS has updated the names of the printers to keep their naming conventions consistent. This list will show the printer names as they appear on GUTENBERG and how they will appear on PRINT.
