Caltech is expanding the use of Duo multi-factor authentication (MFA) to cover more Caltech apps and services. Starting on September 18, 2024 at 7 AM Duo will be required for VPN authentication. We will post more information here and Ion as MFA is rolled out to more apps and services.

What's New
1.When you connect to VPN you will be prompted to enter your username in the format of username@caltech.edu, click Next.

- Enter your access.caltech password
- The Duo 3-digit code will appear on the screen. On your Duo mobile app, enter this number to verify you are signing in to VPN with Duo. Note that if your default Duo authentication method is different, such as a Yubikey, it will continue to work. If you are new to Duo, visit the Getting stared with Duo MFA page to learn more.
You should now be connected to VPN.
