To improve security and protect your computer and work, Caltech is expanding the use of Duo Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) to most applications and services, effective Wednesday, December 10th.
Duo MFA is one of the easiest and most effective ways to keep your account secure. Even if a password is compromised, your account remains protected. Most users should already be familiar with the Duo MFA prompts.
Be Prepared
- IMSS recommends you register at least two authentication methods to ensure access if one becomes unavailable. Otherwise, identity verification may be required via the Help Desk (in person or via video chat).
- To view and/or update your registered devices, visit the Caltech Duo Device Management Portal
New to Duo MFA?
- Setup is quick, simple, and free with the Duo Mobile app. Register your device by following these instructions.
- For users that do not have or prefer not to use their mobile device with Duo, a YubiKey may be purchased and registered in Duo as an alternative.
