On September 12, IMSS will update the digital security certificates across the campus wireless network.
Following industry-wide security standards, IMSS will now rotate these certificates quarterly. When connecting after the update, your device may require a quick action to establish trust.
- Many devices (including macOS and iOS) will display a prompt asking you to trust the new certificate. Verify the server name is cp1.caltech.edu before accepting.
- If your device fails to connect automatically (common on Android and Windows), "forget" the network in your Wi-Fi settings and re-authenticate using your Caltech credentials.
- Detailed connection instructions are available at https://www.imss.caltech.edu/services/wired-wireless-remote-access/wireless-network.
