How to sign in to an application that is protected by Duo

Duo is used to protect a wide range of applications, and offers a variety of second-factor authentication options. The exact process will depend on the situation, and IMSS offers specific instructions for the various authentication methods. The general process will look like this:

  1. Sign in to a Duo-protected application by first entering your username and password
  2. After successfully entering username and password, you will be shown a Duo prompt
  3. Complete the Duo prompt using your chosen authentication method (for example, Duo Mobile Verified Push)
  4. Proceed to your application
