Outlook Web Email Configuration

To access alumni mail using Outlook on the web, open a desktop web browser and go to outlook.office365.com
- Enter your email address in the format [email protected]
- Enter your password
- You will be asked to keep your account secure; click Next until you get prompted to Install Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile device.
Install & Setup Microsoft Authenticator App
- On your mobile device, download and install the most current version of Microsoft Authenticator app. Ensure that your mobile device is also updated to the latest version.
- Once the Microsoft Authenticator app is installed on your mobile device, launch the app on your device and set up your account in the app:
- Allow notifications
- Select Add Account
- Select the option "Work or School Account"
- Select "Scan QR code" to open your mobile device's camera
- Go back to your desktop web browser and click Next to display a QR code.
- Use your mobile device to scan the QR code and click Next.
- Note that the QR code times out quickly and you may need to start this process over again from the beginning if you don't act fast.
- Click Done to complete setup.
Approve Sign In Requests using Microsoft Authenticator
- Now go back to your desktop web browser where you first logged into alumni email using Outlook Web.
- You should now see "Approve Sign In Request" with a code.
- Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device and enter the code to confirm your login.
- Click Yes to stay signed in.
